The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl XVLI in a climactic heart-stopping repeat of the title game played just four years earlier. Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning was named the most valuable player.
The Super Bowl Champions were honored with a grand celebration at MetLife Stadium on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. The ceremonies were conducted by Giants’ veteran radio broadcaster, Bob Papa. More than 60,000 fans were on hand to congratulate each of the Giants’ players. The event featured speeches by MVP Eli Manning, head coach Tom Coughlin, Owner John Mara and several Giants’ players.
